PrintCongratulations are in order. Congratulations to Coach Stallings and the team for finally getting that elusive "W" in Bud Walton Arena. Congratulations to Coach Stallings for securing, at worst, his best SEC record ever. Never before under Coach Stallings has a Vanderbilt team won more than 10 games. Until yesterday. 11-3. 22-6. 5-2 in SEC road games. If you hadn't gotten on board, it's time to recognize just how strong this team truly is.
Marshawn Powell has a promising basketball career ahead of him. It's hard to believe he's just a freshman. In any other year, he would probably be a lock for SEC Freshman of the Year.
Darshawn McClellan gave us some great minutes yesterday. Glue Guy Award bestowed, as promised in the gamethread.

Jermaine Beal and Andre Walker split the plus/minus awards, though John Jenkins and Jeff Taylor were close in the straight up plus/minus, and Jermaine, A.J. Ogilvy, and John were close in the adjusted. Overall, it was a great team effort today.
