"I had my head down, just kind of plowing through crowd, just because you want to get past the girls in the yellow coats. … So as I’m doing that, my heads down and I bump into this big body. And, of course, I look up and it’s none other than Cousins. I’m like, Great, biggest guy in the whole Coliseum right now. … First he gives me a little chicken wing and then I get like a cold cock in my right cheek, and man it knocked me for a loop. … He gave me at least two good licks."

Can't say I blame him.

Anytime students swarm the court while the visiting (losing) players are still trying to get off the court, there is the potential for a volatile situation. Every time I’m watching a game end that way, I’m always thinking, “Sucks to be those players right now,” as they are engulfed in rowdy, jumping, taunting fans. I’m sorry, but I don’t feel sorry for the kid. Besides, he admitted that he bumped Cousins first. This is why schools get fined.

Now, I’ve swarmed a court of two in my day. But I always knew I was breaking the rules when I did it.

I Completely Agree

I always cringe when I watch fans rush the court. It takes a lot of restraint…

It's a Calipari team

When Memphis came to Thompson-Boling Arena a few years ago. Joey Dorsey fouled out of the game. Tennessee won, and he went straight to the locker room. My friend and I were sitting right behind their bench, and my buddy said, “way to be a good sport and shake hands” as he was heading into the tunnel. Dorsey comes back out, grabed and folding chair and climbed into the stands with the chair raised over his head, and threatened my friend to say it again…. like he had insulted his mother or something. An assistant grabbed him and drug him into the locker room. Anyway, Calipari is notorious for having thugs as players. So this doesn’t surprise me. There is no excuse for this.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
