Manhattan looms on the horizon. I'm very sad to see Charles Hinkle leave the program, but completely understand the decision. I wish him nothing but the best going forward. Also, I'm 100% positive that BloggyWo will miss saying "Hinkle's Tinkles" in reference to a Hinkle 3 pointer. Nobody relishes retiring a phrase like that.

Reserve post player Steve Tchiengang was able to go for the first hour of what was roughly a two-hour practice for the Vanderbilt men's basketball team on Monday. Tchiengang came down with strep throat and the accompanying fever over Christmas break. He hopes to play against Manhattan on Wednesday night at Memorial Gym, but he's unlikely to be 100 percent physically.
