Unfortunately

I’ll be MIA during this tonight as I’ll be celebrating a friend’s birthday. I’ll be recording it and will post my reactions as I listen to the broadcast later tonight. Feel free to share your thoughts and I’ll chime in later on.

Didn't tell them to work out when they left

Figures they’re either going to do it on their own or not, his telling them wouldn’t change things

Other concerns more pressing than defense

Need a healthy, consistent AJ. Not his fault. Foot was bothering him. “You could tell AJ really wanted to practice, he was going really hard. Foot pain just wouldn’t let him.” Hopes they can keep him in practice. The inconsistency in him is a direct result of his being out of practice due to injury.

Shooting consistency.

On Urban Meyer & Keeping Things In Balance

“You’re missing the boat when coaching becomes a lifestyle instead of what you do for a living.

Pressure comes from the number of people you feel like you’re letting down when your teams aren’t successful.

The structure of certain people’s egos gives them trouble maintaining balance.

If you don’t have things that are more important to you than what you do for a living, then some things are wrong with you.

It dictates to you what you can do, how you can do, when you do.”

Question About Festus, comparing him to Will Perdue

Will Perdue obviously a late bloomer.

Stalling tried to recruit Will Perdue to Purdue! Ha

Festus gets more and more confident by the day. Still makes mistakes. Those mistakes bother him. Such a pleaser. Doesn’t want to let anyone down.

Has a bright future. Natural athleticism. Great basketball body. Offensive skills developing. Learning how he can impact the game with his defense. Rebounds above the rim. Attitude is fantastic. Brings an important energy level to practice.

All in all, CKS pleased with where is now, and excited about where he is going.

The light just comes on later for Big Guys

Festus’ strength level is unbelievable. Might never walk on the court and not be the strongest player on the floor.

Jermaine Beal Has Been Looking Like A Different Person In Practice

Back to where he was in the first month of practice. VERY ENCOURAGING.

CKS joked with him that his his dad must have “gotten on him bad.”

Stallings tied with Bob Polk for 2nd all-time with 196 wins

“Truth is, it just means I’ve been here for a long time.”

You gotta love Stallings sense of humor.

Joe: It’s hard to stay at any place for a long time these days.

CKS: I’ve cheated death in that regard a few times.

CKS then praises the administration for their perspective

Manhattan 3-2 in last 5 against SEC teams

On Manhattan: Quickness, schedule — this is their 6th consecutive road game, won 3 of them, guys that can shoot, SF very good midrange guy gets to the FL a lot and shoots well, fundamentally sound, will play hard

Will be a great opportunity for them. We need to match or overmatch any intensity level that Manhattan has.
